Questions about Pro

How do I upgrade?
Download Earpiece, sign in with Google, then click Upgrade on the Overview page or under General → Account. Checkout opens in your browser and Pro switches on within a few seconds of paying.
Do I need Pro?
No. Every feature of the app works on Free. Pro is for people who want natural voices and smart summaries without creating Smallest.ai and OpenAI accounts and managing their keys.
What happens after 3,000 lines in a month?
Earpiece keeps talking. It switches to your own keys if you have them, or your Mac's system voice, until the next month starts.
How do I cancel?
General → Account → Manage billing opens the billing portal, where you can cancel or change your card. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
Who handles payment and tax?
Dodo Payments is the merchant of record: it runs checkout, charges your card and handles sales tax and VAT. Earpiece never sees your card details.
What does Pro send to your servers?
To write and speak a summary, the end of an agent's final reply passes through our server to OpenAI and Smallest.ai, with keys and tokens removed first. It isn't stored. The privacy policy has the details. Read the privacy policy.
